YSA Ball Night!

On Saturday, May 19, the YSA organized a Ball. Everyone came dressed in formal wear and learned how to ballroom dance. They all enjoyed taking pictures with each other before the dancing began.

Our Young Single Adult Vegetarian Night!

We have several YSA's who are Vegetarians and so we had a Vegetarian Night. Our menu for the night consisted of Stuffed Zuchinni, Oven Roasted Potatoes and Vegetable Salad. Sister Smith and I demonstrated how to make the items they would be eating this night.

First I showed them how to make Stuffed Zuchinni with Livi translating the instructions.

Next, Sister Smith showed them how to make some fancy, decorative vegetables.

Then, it was time to eat!

The Missionaries helped with serving!

Everyone seemed to like our Vegetarian Menu!

Easter YSA Activity

Sister Smith's family sent some egg dye and so we had an Easter Egg Designing activity in April. After dyeing the egg the color of their choice, they then continued to decorate them by painting designs with food color.

Our group of artists and their eggs!

The first one reminded me of Jack Skellington from the Nightmare Before Christmas cartoon.

Adri was the creator of these original eggs!

Livi's sparkly egg!

Lavi's beautiful eggs!

Kristen designed this beauty. She did not dye her egg.
She merely painted the designs on the original brown egg.

Here is an up close look at her springtime egg.

Enci designed this cute egg.

Up close view of the heart detail.

It was a very fun night!

April Young Single Adult Activity

We had a very fun activity in April. It was our Spring Fashion Show with outfits designed by the YSA's from things we had around the house and in the Center. They were very creative in their choices. The designing activity was followed by a fashion show where they modeled their amazing creations. :)

The first beautiful ensemble of the night was designed using some very popular items. Ties from the much desired 'Tie Bags', as well as sheets, and toilet paper combine for a very unique look. :)

The next ensemble was designed for those who aren't sure if they are coming or going. Their model is wearing a one of it's kind backward missionary outfit.

Our next group has fashioned an original chef outfit that any up and coming chef would love to wear I'm sure! :) Don't you agree?

Our last group designed two outfits to be worn only when cooking. :) Besides being the talk of the town, these fashionable items become very functional when preparing your favorite recipes.

Elder and Sister Bagozzi had the priviledge of awarding very tasty treats for each group prize.
